Poetry event just for twentysomethings

NORWALK, CT /UCWE/ - Local business Twentity.com has teamed up with Shacojazz Art Café in South Norwalk to create a poetry venue for twentysomethings every third Thursday of the month.

The idea for a poetry event came to ChaChanna Simpson, editor and publisher of Twentity.com, an e-zine for twentysomethings, when she realized there weren’t enough events for twentysomethings. “There really isn’t much for twentysomethings to do in this area besides going to a lounge or bar. I believe this will be a welcomed addition to the community,” says Simpson.

There is not set format to the event. Participants can sign up ahead of time to read or they can sign up on the night of the event. This will be the third poetry event to take place.

Twentity.com, pronounced twent-eh-tee, addresses the important questions and concerns of twentysomethings on how to make the transition from teenager to adult. It offers answers to questions such as: how to find an apartment, what is life insurance and why do twentysomethings need it now, how to meet people after college and many more questions. Readers will be able to apply what they read directly and immediately to their own lives.
