Newly launched online book discussion forum, Book Talk Forums has got off to a flying start, offering a dedicated literature forum for book fans

/UCWE/ -  Book Talk Forums was launched recently to plug a gap.

Whilst there are some aligned online book discussion forums, few of them are devoted purely to the discussion of books and literature. Indeed, many are simply a sideline for a commercial enterprise, or chain of bookstores.

Book Talk Forums is a truly dedicated literature discussion forum, with sections ranging from contemporary literature (http://www.booktalkforums.com/index.php?board=12.0  ), to Science Fiction (http://www.booktalkforums.com/index.php?board=7.0  ), to specific authors and short story writers (http://www.booktalkforums.com/index.php?board=4.0  ).

Members are truly International and the forum is characterized by its friendly and active user base.

“We wanted a relaxed atmosphere, where people could sit back and enjoy talking about their favourite novels, in a friendly and supportive environment.” Said Richard Shadbolt, one of the forum moderators. “So far our members are building a very vibrant community and are making new members feel so welcome, so quickly, that we barely have time to get in there and welcome them ourselves. By the time we have welcomed new forum members, they have often become confident enough to start their own topics and hit the ground running”.

Some members have started their own online book group and pick a new book to talk about each month. Others, are simply happy to join in the listing of favourite books and authors.
