/UCWE/ - The 1st Gospel/Christian Comedy Conference and Showcase will be held January 18-19, 2006 at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Nashville, TN. ITZ Comedy Productions and Urban Gospel Alliance are very proud to announce that this event will take place during 2006 Stellar Awards, which is also set to take place in the music city. ITZ Comedy Productions and Urban Gospel Alliance feel that this event will give Nashville a platform to host such a popular event in the Gospel Music Industry, thus making it known to the world why Nashville is a pillar in entertainment. This showcase will be taped and televised in thousands of homes across the nation.

ITZ Comedy Productions and Urban Gospel Alliance is a Christian based organization designed to bring Christian comedians to the forefront. Christian comedy is constantly challenged by today’s society, where four letter words and sexual innuendos dominate the comedy scene, but through events, promotions, projects and products it is their goal to assist in creating awareness about Christian comedy.

The Christian Comedy Showcase is poised to be the largest and most highly anticipated Comedy Showcase to hit the Nashville Area.

The Midnight Laughter Comedy Showcase will be held Thursday, January 19, 2006, featuring nationally recognized comedians Alycia Cooper, Sis. Cantaloupe, Chinnitta “Chocolate” Morris, Small Fire, Robert Duckworth, Sean Sarvis and many, many, more. This event will surely tickle your funny bone! You must be registered at the conference for consideration to perform at the showcase. As we fellowship and network, we hope to continue to raise awareness to the community of the numerous talented comedians ministering around the nation.
