But in a shocker, the lead contender for the American Idol crown Chris Daughtry was ousted, and then the controversy began. The talented Daughtry that has a singing style similar to Staind, was left dumbfounded and so were his legions of fans.
Based solely on performance you would think that the true top contenders would stay inthe game but American Idol has went from a new show a few years back to a pop culture icon and a betters playground. Where millions of dollars are on the line at some points, this may have an impact on who moves forward and who doesn't.
Some of these betting establishments are located outside of the U.S.and it brings in the question on how this impacts the actual competition. If it is a matter of phone votes, then can a group actual put together a massive phone room to sway the vote in one direction or another?, who knows but the possiblity is there.
