/UCWE/ A big void will be left in the latino music community  as Colombian-American singer/songwriter Soraya loses her battle with breast cancer and died Wednesday.

She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000 and instead of having self pity she opted to bring awareness to the hispanic community and make them aware of this hiden killer breast cancer.

She pushed for hispanic women to seek early treatment on behalf of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

So our condolences go out to her family as we are sure that her fans are mourning the lose of yet another shinning star.
