Aaron Spelling Dies at Age 83

/UCWE/ - The legendary TV producer and brainchild behind such television hits as "The Mod Squad," "Charlie's Angels," "Dynasty" and "Beverly Hills, 90210", Aaron Spelling, has passed away at his home at the age of 83.

The entertainment mogul was battling poor health since 2001 and just last Sunday he suffered a stroke while in his Beverly Hills Mansion, the largest single familiy dwelling in California.

Making his bones in Hollywood in 1953 as an actor , he worked on such shows as "I Love Lucy" with Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball. He became a shinning star in Hollywood when he teamed up with Danny Thomas to work on"The Danny Thomas Show."

In a television interview a few years ago Spelling said jokingly that he would be remembered as a television producer and Tori Spelling's father.

Some of his last success stories included "Charmed" and "7th Heaven."

Hollywood has lost a pioneer.
