American Idol Runner-Up Katharine McPhee Reveals Eating Disorder
/UCWE/ - This past season's American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee revelaed her five year battle with  bulimia which she managed to get under control prior to the Idol Competition that started last winter.

In the latest issue of People Magazine she stated that "Food was how I dealt with emotions," and she also revealed that at one point she would vomit up to seven times a day. "As soon as I would feel something, I would eat."

When she initially tried out for American Idol her condition was, according to McPhee, "Out of Control". She said that she garnered strength from boyfriend Nick Cokas and of course from her parents. In October of last year she started a three month program at  L.A.'s Eating Disorder Center of California, the idol competition began in December.

McPhee is getting used to her curvey figure and she is on the path to becoming a great entertainer beyond American Idol.
