/UCWE/ - Rap star Kimberly Jones better known as Lil’ Kim has been released from a Federal Prison on Monday July 3, 2006, just in time for a real 4
th of July celebration. As she left federal custody dozens of fans stood by for the 6am release of Lil’ Kim.
She was incarcerated on Sept 19, 2005 and was scheduled to serve over a year in prison but thanks to the persistence of her lawyer L. Londell McMillan she was released early for good behavior. She will be under house arrest for 30 days, probably wearing an ankle bracelet and then she will be under the watchful eye of the government for the next three years.
Lil’ Kim is the first female rapper to take it on the chin and spend time in prison, but she stood true to herself and her entourage. Lil’ Kim is sure to release some of her greatest works as now she has a slightly different perspective on the world.
So expect her to top the charts and bring a big ripple in the rap world.
