Michael Jackson Museum Foundation Forming to Buy Pickfair in Beverly Hills for MJ Museum
/UCWE/ - Beverly Hills, CA - International entrepreneur Michael Brittingham, founder and President of The American Business Club©, an American-based, international organization of business professionals, announces the proposed formation of the Michael Jackson Museum Foundation, to purchase the Pickfair Estate in Beverly Hills, California, and to secure permissions from the executors of The Michael Jackson Estate, the City of Beverly Hills, and the court, to house The Michael Jackson Collection and Memorabilia.

This project shall create a permanent, private museum, open to the public and millions of MJ supporters and fans. According to Mr. Brittingham: "This is a perfect solution for the problem of what to do with Michael Jackson's collections and how best to make it available to the public, who want to see it conserved and in the most appropriate home." Visit The MJ Museum Community of Supporters

The total cost of the purchase, installation and annual administration is to be borne-out by a select group of approximately ten contributors to a private foundation, and shall be governed by a Board of Trustees, and the executors of the Michael Jackson Estate. Mr. Brittingham is currently sourcing the most appropriate, and qualified board member/contributors to form a strategic partnership and maximise the proposed museum's effectiveness. The collections are to be held in trust by the trustees. The trustees, in turn, shall be responsible for meeting all expenses connected with the conservation, education, special exhibitions, acquisitions, scholarly publications, and related activities, including security costs. There shall be an on-site Project Manager and General Director (Mr. Brittingham), to oversee all aspects of this task, and thereby free-up the executors of the Michael Jackson Estate to focus on other important matters regarding the estate.

The glamour of Beverly Hills is defined by the legendary Pickfair Estate, the renowned Georgian-style manor once owned by silent film star greats Douglas Fairbanks Sr. and Mary Pickford. "This is a remarkable piece of property that will take your breath away just knowing the countless celebrities and worldwide guests who were extended a stay for business and pleasure," says Felix Pena of Hilton & Hyland Real Estate.

About the Collection of Michael Jackson: The auction of an array of treasures from Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch, ranging from Michael Jackson's iconic white-jewelled glove to the grandiose entry gates to Neverland Ranch was cancelled, just days before it was to take place, with auctioneers agreeing to return all the items to the singer. The complete collection, now housed in warehouses in Beverly Hills, offers an astounding array of fine and decorative art items, furniture, paintings and life size bronze and marble sculptures to amusements, arcade games and Disneyana, entertainment memorabilia and garden statuary from the life and career of the King of Pop.

Michael Jackson was an enthusiastic and avid collector of everything from exquisite antiques to prized entertainment and popular culture memorabilia. The Michael Jackson Museum Foundation shall be proud to present all these items for viewing to the public, in this historic opportunity to conserve, protect and house the collections of Michael Jackson, and the contents of his Neverland Ranch, in a state-of-the art museum, located in an equally historic and fitting Beverly Hills property.

In the words of the man responsible for creating this idea and project, Michael Brittingham: "My simple aim is to secure the most appropriate home in the world to house Michael's spirit and his collections, so that there is a feeling that he is just … out of the country for a bit… and shall be returning shortly. I am determined to bring together a small number of financially qualified supporters of Michael's legacy into this great project, and to raise all of the necessary funds required to buy the Pickfair, secure the appropriate permissions necessary to move the collection into the museum, hire the best qualified museum curator and staff, and to personally oversee the entire affair myself."

The private foundation shall be exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and shall be a private foundation within the meaning of section 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code and donations made to the Foundation shall be tax deductible. Its primary activity is the operation of a museum open to the general public. The Museum Foundation shall depend on various fund raising activities and donations to carry out its goals and objectives.
