/UCWE/ Minneapolis, MN – In more than 20 years of thrash metal mayhem, Sodom will finally play their second United States show ever. Coincidentally it is at another second—the second Minneapolis Mayhem metalfest—May 6 & 7, 2005 at Star Central in Columbia Heights, MN. Bassist extraordinaire Steve DiGiorgio’s U.S. band Sadus will precede them onstage Saturday night. “Two great thrash legends on the same bill is miraculous,” says fest promoter John McGovern of JCM Records. “I’ve always been a fan of heavy metal. When I was able to sign both Sodom and Sadus on the same bill I was very amped … and so are the fans I’ve talked to who are chomping for tickets.”
Headliners on Friday are Dew-Scented, who are flying in from Germany and U.S. thrash metal legends Usurper. Also playing the metalfest are The Chasm from Chicago, Michigan based Summon, and the hot new metalmavens from Nevada, Avenger of Blood, who are being hailed as the new Kreator/Destruction for America.
Show sponsors, sickidiots.com Tshirts, are giving away $100 to one lucky fan who comes to the show wearing any sickidiots.com shirt; and Winter Guitars from Fargo, ND, have donated two guitars which will be signed by the members of Sodom, Sadus, Dew-Scented and Usurper and will be given away on stage.

And others yet to be signed.
“Even if I was not putting on this show I would definitely attend,” McGovern continued. “You can’t see Sodom anywhere else in the States. This year is a must-see event for all metalheads.”
He concluded, “ I don’t know how I’m ever going to top this line-up for Minneapolis Mayhem 3 in 2006.”
